Somerset has not migrated its register to the national one, so both halves of a search still come from the council: £18 for the LLC1, 174 including VAT for the CON29R, 192 for the two together. Two cautions. The council's web page and its corporate fee register disagree on the add-ons, the register still carrying legacy per-former-district rates from before unitarisation, so check the figure you are quoted against the page rather than the spreadsheet. And personal search arrangements are still split four ways by former district, each with its own portal, nearly three years after the districts merged. Beyond the headline £192, Somerset charges £14.10 for each optional CON29O question, £19.40 for each additional parcel and £40.80 for each question of your own, and it has stopped charging the £5 administration fee it used to add to a highways search. Searches can come in through the NLIS hub or the council's online form, which takes payment on submission. How far back the records go depends on the former district. In South Somerset computerised planning records start only in 1990, and in Sedgemoor planning information is online from 2000. For the former Somerset West and Taunton area the council warns that results produced by personal search agents are not certified by it.
