A resident management company is a real company at Companies House, with real filing deadlines and real consequences for missing them. Most directors did not sign up for that part.
What the Company Actually Has to Do
A resident management company or RTM company has the same obligations as any other company limited by guarantee or by shares. It must file a confirmation statement at least once a year, file accounts, keep its register of members current, and notify Companies House of changes to its directors and to its people with significant control.
The consequences of not doing so are not theoretical. A company that stops filing is struck off, and a struck-off company's assets, including the freehold if it owns one, pass to the Crown as bona vacantia. Recovering from that is slower and more expensive than filing on time ever was.
What We Do
Confirmation statements, dormant company accounts, director appointments and resignations, share transfers and membership transfers, and the administration of annual and extraordinary general meetings including notices and minutes. Where a vote needs to be taken by secret ballot, we administer that too.
The directors remain the directors. Company secretarial support does not move a director's statutory duties, which sit in sections 171 to 177 of the Companies Act 2006 and stay with the individual whoever does the filing.

Common Questions
What Happens If Our RMC Has Been Struck Off?
Administrative restoration is the usual route where the company was struck off while still carrying on business, and Companies House charges a fee for it. Where administrative restoration is not available, restoration by court order is the alternative. Any property the company held will have passed to the Crown as bona vacantia in the meantime and has to be dealt with as part of the restoration.
Do Directors Still Have Duties If You Handle the Filing?
Yes. Company secretarial support is administration, not a transfer of responsibility. The general duties in sections 171 to 177 of the Companies Act 2006 are owed personally by each director and cannot be delegated away.
Can You Run Our AGM?
We administer it: notices, the paperwork, the minutes, and a secret ballot where one is needed. The meeting itself belongs to the company and is chaired by its directors.
